2006 CLS...3 blown navigation systems!
Ive had my 2006 CLS 500 for 15 months now, bought it with only 25k miles and now has 50k. 4 months after I got the car the Naviation unit failed and had to be replaced ( under warranty)
11 months after the unit was replaced, I get "navigation device unavailable" then all my audio goes out and the screen will not stay turned on.
Bring it to the shop and im told my Naviation unit has failed again and I need a new one.
Car is no longer in warranty. I agured with the dealer since A) I bought the car at their dealership b) the part was JUST replaced 11 months ago by them and now its failed again!
So to bandaid the problem its gonna cost me $400 to reroute the audio so at least I have audio but the Nav wont be connected.
The best they said they can do is take $1000 off the price and it would cost me $1700 to replace. They claim since the car is no loonger under warranty they wont fix it, and the part's warranty is only as long as the cars.
I call BS on this. Does anyone know if I have any recourse to get them to fix it completly since its only 11 months old and will be the THIRD Nav unit for this car????
