Combined self and MB service
So what is the best way to do this?
If I take it in they want to do everything even slightly needed, and definitely do everything really needed.
So, do I do a bunch of stuff before taking it in, and tell them, so they can do the appropriate resets.
Or, do I take it in and let them tell me what it needs and then tell them to leave undone what I want to handle. If I do that. how do I get any maintenance reminder (and other) resets done?

Speaking of which, anyone know where I can get a shop service manual, for an '04 C230? My local dealership keeps coming up with excuses to NOT order me one. If someone has the part number that would be great also. I cant seem to find one through searching the forums.

Your dealer isn't making excuses; paper manuals do not exist. M-B shop information is available, via subscription, online. Rates are at:

I have subscribed to the $18/24 hour option about 5 times in the past few years. When I do I print out everything I think I will need for the foreseeable future. So far, much cheaper than the old paper manual system, which cost over $300 for a full set back in the 90's.
Be forewarned, the site has a huge amount of information. It can be intimidating at first.
