1999 clk 430
Coolant question
I have a 1999 clk 430, it is used, i have had it about three year, and I do not know the history of the car before then. A few days ago my wife said the check coolant level display came on in the car. Since I do not know how long it has been since the coolant has been changed I decided that I would change the coolant. The current coolant in the car is green, I have gotten Zerex g05 and distilled water to put in the car, but I am unsure of how to get all the old coolant out. I thought I read that I could remove the lower radiator hose on the passenger side and all the fluid would come out. If this is wrong please let me know, and also let me know the best way to get the job done.

Answer
If someone had green (glycol ethylene) coolant in the system, it needs multiple serious professional flushes for removal/cleaning/neutralize.
