old skool swap 1980 300d na to 1985 turbo 3.0
Hello,
First post here so hi to everyone. Dont see alot of older diesel talk on here but what the hell ill post it anyway. I have a pretty nice mercedes 300d 1980. its only problem is the 77hp 3.0 naturally aspirated diesel. I have found a cheap 3.0 turbo from an 85 300d thats running and ready to be transplanted. I got the radiator from the doner car too. Besides glow plugs any other diferences or thing to consider before starting this swap? Ive been a Ford mechanic for 10 years so wrenching isnt a problem just looking for any snags that i may runinto and do my best to prepare for them. Any help on the subject would be appriecited. thanks
