Problem with my STAR

I encountered a problem while scanning a 1999 ML320 this weekend. This is the first time I used my STAR on a vehicle this old in case that matters. I did a quick test, I got a list of only around 10 things that were checked and all passed (had checkmarks). When I clicked on Motor Electronics, a new window opened (see pic) with HHTWIN in the top corner and it said: Internal Fault, Diagnosis Multiplexer, code 10762 and I could not go any further. Does anyone know why I got this error and how to fix it? Thanks.

What connector are you using? I assume due to HHT our using the 38pin mushroom connector?

On the older cars i have to use the 38 pin connector. It should be located in the engine compartment near a fuse box, or modules.
