Let's talk differentials.

I've been spending a silly amount of time researching a rear differential swap for my CLK430.

Nearly every thread ends with comments about ECU reflashing/troubles. I can't find ANY definitive answers anywhere.

ECU is no problem in my situation. The ecus are gone from the car, as is the stock engine. Something big, long, and turbo is replacing it.

I know I have a 2.78 rear. It's a 2000 CLK 430...

I am trying to get somewhere in the 3.27 to 3.73 range. Really, anything over 2.87 is better at this point.

THIS IMAGE leads me to believe I have a 210mm differential.

What are my options on swapping internals? LSD is nice, but if all else fails, I'll weld it.

Can anyone help with a list of some sort, regarding options?
