best place to buy 315mhz tpms sensor

where is the cheapest place to buy a tpms sensor that is 315mhz. i assume that any 315mhz tpms sensor will work, or does it have to be mercedes specific?

Amazon had the best price (less than $50.00) for the TPMS sensor.

are you saying that any 315mhz tpms sensor will work on my 315mhz system if it fits? will our system code it, or do we need a shop to code the sensor? btw, i researched and researched and found multiple sensors that say they will work. prices range from $22 dorman, $46 orotek, $50 itm, $80 vdo and $98 beru. this has been educational. i went with the dorman 974-001. the website listed it for chrysler pacifica. after extensive research i found out it was also listed for many chrysler products including the 300's. after more research i found out it was 315mhz and finally i checked multiple web sites for my car and finally found 2 that listed the dorman 974-001 for 2001-2006 mercedes cl class. multiple other websites listed the dorman as well, but they either didn't show a model #, or used their own part# which of course didn't match dorman's. this has been exhausting and i hope i'm right about the dorman 974-001. for $22 it's worth a shot. any feedback is appreciated. i hope i'm right and that this thread can save some people money.

got an orotek made specifically for a 2003-2006 mercedes cl class. had it installed, played with it for 1 week and couldn't get it to register. cost of sensor $33. gave up and got a beru from tire rack $96.00. got it installed and after two resets it's working properly. my two cents after this experience. go with the beru. it's 3X's the price, but it works.
