Mercedes GLK 220CDI (Diesel)
Serpentine Belt

I have a GLK 220 Diesel, with nearly 75,000 km on the clock. The car is 4 years old. As far as I can see, there are no cuts or signs of wear on the poly-V side of the serpentine belt, so maybe I shouldn't worry too much.

MB don't state a recommended change interval. Anybody have a clue?

Then, when I do decide to change it, has anybody any experience on how to take off the plastic shroud that covers the pulleys? I can't see the way it's fixed, because it's too close to the radiator.

Thanks!
