ML lock actuator replacement
I'm trying to replace the front driver lock actuator on a 1999 ML320 which is just out of warrantee (third lock in 4 years.....).
I'm hoping that someone can guide me on how to separate the electrical actuator / door latch assembly from the door as it is all hidden out of view behind sheet metal. In particular I cannot see how to decouple the locking mechanical levers and lock tumbler There are a couple of grommeted holes - what is the trick to getting it out and THEN getting it back?
