Check MAF by using voltage meter?

I heard that you can check your Mass air flow meter by using a voltage meter or something like that. Not sure on all this. The reading on a good MAF is different from a reading from a bad MAF. Anybody ever heard of something like this?

Denlasould confirmed that you can check the air mass sensor and also showed how to do it....but only one problem...im not sure what the voltage specs are on a good air mass sensor. So I can check the voltage reading on mine mine, but I'll never know if its truly right....unless someone in the sacramento area will allow me to check theres...its very simple..less than a minute to do.
