Question Help! C240 sluggish after start

Our 2003 C240 is extremely sluggish for the first few minutes after ignition. It seems like the car is pulling a ton of bricks! It makes you afraid to step on the gas.

After getting up to speed, the sluggishness disappears and the car drives perfectly.

This problem occurs after all startups, regardless of season.

Anyone know what's wrong?

Are you parking it outside or garaged? I think maybe some of the sluggishness is due to the engine warming up. Can't expect it to work like you've had it running for a half hour, when the car is all warmed and "woken" up...I think this is normal, but maybe someone else has some ideas?

Kinda like when you wake up in the morning, ya don't jump full speed ahead, lol.

Its a brand new car...it shouldn't feel sluggish at all. My mom has a 1991 bonneville. It stays outside and in the morning when u start it up and go...IT DOESNT FEEL SLUGGISH. Of course it needs to warm up a little...but nothing feels wrong at all. If you can notice a sluggishness then there is probably something wrong with it. Gluck
