SRS Light - Current or Stored?
I just replaced the turn signal switch on my '04 CLk320 and now my SRS light is on and the display says: "1 Malfunction...blah blah...take to workshop..."
Is there a way to tell from the dash display whether I have a current fault or just a stored transient fault?
The probability that I actually messed something up seems low. I removed the column module again and checked the continuity which seemed good.
Also, is it true that starting the car when not sitting in the driver's seat will cause an SRS fault? - because I did that.
Maybe it doesn't matter because I can't reset the code myself, but I like to have as much knowledge as possible when taking car my in.
