07 C230 Missing bad but clears after re-starting it
Hey guys. Hoping I can get some help with my problem without using trial and error as a repair technique. I changed the plugs a few weeks ago because the car has 110k miles on it. I used Autolite Iridiums so hopefully that's not an issue. The day after I changed them, I floored it to pass a car, the check engine light started blinking (yes, it was already on) and sounded and felt like it was running on 7 cylinders. After a few miles I stopped and shut it off for 5 min and started it up and it ran smooth for awhile, then it happened again. If I keep the rpms up its fine but as soon as I start slowing down to come to a stop or slow down in traffic, the light will start flashing and it starts missing bad. If I manually downshift or put it in neutral to keep the R's up it runs smooth. The codes that it put out are 0301, 0331, 0410 & 0351 which one or more might've already been there from before I changed the plugs. I've heard that it may be vacuum lines broken, fuel regulator bad, throttle pos sensor, crank sensor, coil packs and a few others. Since the 0410 code is secondary air injection system fault, is that possibly vacuum issues? Any help before I take it into the dealer would be very appreciated by me and my wallet. Haha.
