ML 350 (2007) USA Model TeleAid problem
The vehicle has suffered 3 times with a discharged battery, which appears to be caused by the TeleAid module repeatedly trying to dial out / connect to base.
The dealership claims to have the M-B Star diagnostic computer, but says they are unable to de-activate the Tele-Aid module.
Does anyone know how to disable the unit? I have seen references to pulling certain fuses, but they are all for different vehicles.
Finally, the following items have stopped working - Radio, Headlights, Air-Con, Trafficators, Electric Wing-Mirrors. The dealership are trying to trace a water leak, which may have knocked out one of the SAMS. Any suggestions?
The M-B dealer says that the Gateway Module has been damaged by water ingress and they cannot interrogate the other modules to diagnose faults. They say they need to fit a new Gateway module first.
1) How much is a genuine gateway module from a M-B dealer in the US?
2) Any suggestions regarding the TeleAid unit? Is there a data sheet which can be provided to the dealer (who seems to have little experience of TeleAid?
Thanks
