C55 Trans PROBLEM! HELP!
Hey guys so i sold my old c55 for another one. i now have a 2005 c55 amg with 134,xxx miles. I just had my trans oil changed a few thousand miles ago and noticed a difference. It WAS changed by a certified merc mechanic with oem fluid, so I eliminated any what ifs. Anyway, I feel like my gears got shortened. The car shifts through all 5 gears smoothly, so there is no slipping of the trans. However whether i am in comfort, sport, or 5th gear in man mode, my rpm's move up too high for the speed i travel at. At 2k rpm i am already at 55mph. And 2 1/4 rpm i am at about 62-64. At 2.5 rpm i am doing 70mph. At 3k rpm i am already at 80. This is defintely not normal i scared to take long trips to nyc because of this. I'll appreciate any insight!! Thanks!!!

did you check you wiring harness to see if it's leaking at the tranny. there is a seal there that is known to leak. it's a cheap fix. if it's leaking it wicks oil up the wiring harness to the ecu on the passenger side fuse box. check the fuse box for oil residue. this sometimes causes tranny problems.

Is there any way that you can show me where i can find the wiring harness, fuse box, and ecu? Reason I ask is because I had a broken seal under the tranny (not sure if this is the one you speak of) that had to be replaced due to a slight trans leak, hence causing me to decide to even change the fluid. Thanks so much for your help so far! I really do NOT want to do a rebuild! And i need this problem i asked ASAP!

If it's leaking, and has been for some time, just pull the SAM cover and you will see trans fluid. No trans fluid = no leak
