difference between "Tune-Up" and "Service"

hey all,
ok, what is the differences between a "tune-up" and "major service"? tune-up and service (major) --> spark plugs, oil and filter change, air filter, cabin filter, check hoses, fuel filter, etc, right?

From what little reading I've done, it may include things like:

- Change coolant
- Flush brake fluid
- Change differential fluid
- Change transmission fluid and filter
- Regrease and set preload on front wheel bearings
- Clean and grease parking brake mechanism
- Lube hinges (door, hood, trunk, latch)
- Change hydraulic fluid in self leveling suspension
- Check fluid level in cabriolet mechanism
- Clear body drain holes
- Lube sunroof slides

A tune up involves setting timing, fuel air mixture etc. and strictly speaking does not involve replacing any parts.

On more recent cars this involves plugging in to a computer and checking that all settings for the above are correct.
