I recently completed replacing the upper and lower ball joints, control arms, and tie rod ends in my 2006 Mercedes E350 Base w/ Sport Suspension. I'm having a hard time finding the torq specs for the ball joints. I believe I found the lower is 55ft/lbs, but if someone could confirm that and provide the other torq specs that would be great:
A.) Lower Ball Joint
B.) Forward Control Arm
C.) Upper Ball Joint
D.) Tie Rod End
On a side note, the lower replacement ball joint came with grease fittings. I used whatever grease was loaded in my grease gun from who knows how long ago. Is there a recommendation or spec for the type of grease of these joints? I can see grease around the joint on the knuckle and control arm. Not sure if the grease is too thin or I just over-filled the boot. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
A.) Lower Ball Joint
B.) Forward Control Arm (Notice the excess grease/residue from the lower ball joint)
