Istrument cluster lighting shorted, need help :(

Hi! I was doing the LED upgrade on my clk320 (1998) and unfortunately shorted the clock lighting. After changing the bad LED I receive some light, but it's very dim and some light stays on after switching the headlight off end even after removing the key. LCD and other lamps are OK fortunately. Searched for a while, but I haven't find anything
Is there any solution for this without replacing the whole cluster?
Thank you in advance!
Regards

Got an other cluster (ok it's from w210 but was quick and cheap) does it have compatibility issues, or have to decode it like a radio to make it useable with this car? ( never thought that km counter is in the cluster and not simply dispayed by it )

Btw does anyone have the schem of the cluster or just the dimmer part? I don't think the high Amp part to be extremely complex and the regulator IC seems to be ok
Btw 2 its really sad that te donor cluster doesn't work because it accomodates the t10 leds and the lighting looks really good
