what oil to use?
i've got a '71 250c (inline 6) and i was just wondering what oil is recommended. i've just bought the car and i wanna do a tune up on it before i put it on the road. thanks.

Here's the current M-B oil recommendation list but it won't help you.

Check the orginal manual for oil viscosity recomendations. Also some oil companies are producing 'classic' oils for older cars. They have less detergent.
Like: Castrol Classic XL 20w/50

20W may be a little heavy, fo Vancouver, I don't know.
If you could find a oil like this at 10w-40 10W-50, then that would probably be the oil to use.
