So the last issue on my wife's 2001 e320 is that all three cluster displays need replacement. I tried the new ribbon cable route, but the LCD panel themselves are in pretty poor shape. The center one has a crack. I tried ordering a new set from a vender off of ebay, but they never sent them. I assume that a MB dealer would want to sell me a new cluster, or a whole new car, for thousands of dollars.
Anyway, I would really like to find a source for the LCD panels. My dash looks like this one-
