a car that can't do the throttle reset.
water in headlight

my headlight assemblies get a little fogged up when it rains. i was curious if this is something that i have to worry about. will it cause any damage? it goes go away on its own.

Sounds like the gasket on the back of the unit is not sealed. Have you replaced a bulb lately????? Also just to make sure what model and year??

actually the situation is that i put the 02 headlight assemblies on my 00 ml320. at the same time i made the halogens hid's with a retrofit kit. so, i attempted to have them resealed but its a real pain in the a**. just curious if i tis something i have to have repaired or can i just leave it the way it is? thanks for replying.

If you dont waht water in your headlights then I would get them fixed.

Definitley need to get that fixed. If water starts getting on those lines with the high voltage you will not have a good day.

Worst case, you blow the ballast or the bulb, and cause a short. It will make one hell of a pop when it happens.

1997 Toyota Tacoma 4x4
There is a technical bulletin for ML headlights fogging. They say it is normal, and the condensation will evaporate after about a half-hour of driving with the headlights on.

the condensation does evaporate after 30 min, even without headlights on... just got worried when told could cause a short.
