Mercedes Benz e200 (w212) from 2013
Crash sensor

My airbag light on my w212 is constantly on. The fault code reader shows "communication with the front left crash sensor has a malfunction" and "there is an internal fault in the left front crash sensor". Where is this sensor located in the front?

You have a crappy scanner--the R and L sensor is called a front bumper pedestrian protection sensor---if the L is faulty look above the left bumper air scoop for the sensor which is flush with the L bumper

B973 fault code is the Left crash sensor by the seat belt mount .I hope this helps ti
