Hello everyone. I made the ultimate mistake and parked my car endlessly for months. Turns out according to the mechanic the Fuel (additives in new fuel types) has clogged the system / gum up etc. He removed the fuel. However veh was running ok at high speed but at idle it was very rough, sometimes it would also blow black smoke at idle. He advised that the Injectors may have been clogged, had them tested on some make shift gadget, suggested only option was to replace them. Its still running rough at idle. Moreover now there is also an engine check light showing up no message through. I have added some fuel cleaner WILITA (UK) have driven half tank, unfortunately not on full throttle for more than a few secs. The rough idle remains as is. Any advice?
I can tell you that my car (2016) had a rough idle and more because the battery was old. Not that it was a bad battery, just older and slightly less voltage that normal. An weaker batt can't cause that so clearly it's programmed to cause problems when the batt is low. Maybe yours has similar programming?
The black smoke says too much fuel, so maybe the MAF isn't reading right? Maybe you could try cleaning it.
I don't believe bad fuel will cause what you described, nor do I believe fuel a couple months old is an issue.
Check eng light but no message? You mean you used an OBD scanner and nothing was there?
Thanks for the feedback.
I filled up another tank of fuel, prev ran 100Miles only, there's a constant smell of Fresh Fuel in my garage. This adds to the issues at hand.
Local specialists and some friends recommended Liquid Moly Injector Cleaner image attached below. Used this, ran the veh a few miles, the seems to be a little smoother than before. will give feedback after running it 50 miles or so.
There was an Analyser read out, referring to both left and right I think some air flow flow sensors. I will post the read out asa I get a hold of it.
