Question Upgrading to COMAND

I see COMAND systems on eBay all the time and was wondering if this is a possible upgrade to my vehicle. I have an '02 C230 coupe and COAMND was an option. Is this a user friendly upgrade or a dealer only deal. I see no real easy way to remove the old radio, but I hear about it all the time. I would appreciate any suggestions on the matter.

I would contact Steve K regarding this mod. I've read lots of posts on this install, and several members have really screwed up their vehicles.

To my knowledge service departments won't touch it..!

Steve's email should be available by search also his moniker on this forum is mbenzNL or something to that effect.

I didn't screw up I did the retrofit on both of my AMGs and no problem here. However if you are technically-challenged, you should contact Steve K, especially if you are located on the coasts. If you want do this yourself( not very difficult at all) you should still contact Steve and buy the Comand from him. He is very reputable and your Comand is guaranty to work. Good luck.
