I have a GLK 250 that I think the thermostat is not closing properly ie staying partially open.
We have had some cold weather here, 14F or -10C
I know that it takes longer to warm up in colder weather, but it seems excessively long. Used to be 7km and now its 16 km until operating temp is reached. Is this normal?
Because there is not a warning light, the dealer says everything checks out ok.
I would like to take the thermostat out and check it but do not want to take the wrong part apart.
I would like to know if anyone has knowledge of exactly where the thermostat is located.
Thank you in advance.

I'm having the same issue on my 2014 GLK250. It's very cold here in Toronto right now. About -10*c.
Did you ever change the thermostat?
Did you ever change the thermostat?
No, I have never checked the thermostat. I would like to, but have not found out exactly where it is.
I procrastinate a little.
Its cold here again as well.
