w220 s 500l
engine oil

hi, i have 1999 w220 s500 l. now its on 248.500 km. i want to shange engine oil. i have used 5-30 since now. but i want to learn if can i use better one

That's quite a high mileage engine, you could try using a 10W-40 oil.

Best to use an MB229.3 or 229.5 approved oil (not simply one that meets those requirements).

There is no reason to change the grade, 5W-30, you can switch to full synthetic if not already, and get the Mobil Extended or the Mobil One Year. These have more additives and give better protection. Other than that, you don't have problem with your engine after that many miles, I would not do too much about it.
