Low pressure AC line on 1981 240D?

Hi.

Can someone tell me which AC line is the low pressure line on a 1981 240D? I would like to put some freon in it and I want to make sure I am on the low pressure line.

Would it be the line that is higher in the engine or would it be the one that is much lower?

Thanks for the help!

On my 1983 240D...

When I would add freon it would be to a coupeling that was at the front of the engine, passenger side, just back from the top of the radiator. It had a black plastic nut covering/protecting it.

My remembrance was thst the site glass that i would check for bubbles was in the front passenger side also.
