help with timing chain issues m278

i am starting to notice my car and its timing chain. its a hallow noise that i can hear from the chain. theres also another noise when i come to a stop. i can hear my cars engine shift in noise. it is like a 1 second pause. maybe its the timing chain. its kind of weird. i am not sure if thats normal.
