Need reputable source for star diagnostic c4 clone

Hey, I was hoping somebody could pass along a recommendation for a reputable seller of a star diagnostic c4 clone. I've done my reading but picking an actual seller that has basic support if there is a problem would be really helpful. Sellers seem to change a bunch. Post up any recommendations in this thread, or shoot me a PM.

Thanks,
Justin Wade

I bookmarked this from somewhere on this site ... http://www.mbstartool.com/

havent pulled the trigger though. And I just went thru the repair of a VGS3 conductor plate for a 722.9 transmission. Needed a dealer to program the new unit. Does anyone know if a clone is good enough to do that level work / repair?

my understanding is that MB now makes this a DEALER ONLY clone.. sorry.. there are ways noted on the WWW to "virgin'ise" your old ECU and then mount it ..

I was lucky to have a dealer sell me the unit so that I could do the work to exchange it. I then plugged the original conductor plate in - pulled the information. Unplugged and plugged in the wiring harness to the trans (new plate installed) as normal and did the programming that involved starting the car, etc. I'm not opposed to trying the www sources - just would like to buy one unit that does it all.
