2017 C300 Coupe
C300 Back Window Smashed

Hey guys - I need some advice. A golf ball completely smashed the back window of my 2017 C300 Coupe. I called a Mercedes dealer and they quoted me a shocking $2200.00 just to fix it.
I find this crazy because online, I can find the OE glass for less than $700.00 (link: https://www.genuinemercedesparts.com...ware-back-scat)

I've also tried Safelite (who quoted me only $1200.00) but they haven't even returned my many numerous calls as to when they can fix it.
So now I'm stuck. Should I bite the bullet and go to the dealer to have it fixed? Or should I order the OE glass online and have someone else install it? Many thanks.

PM me part number, I'm friends with a GM for a Mercedes-Benz dealership who also is partnered in owning an online MBOEM parts store. He gives me a discount on top of their deals online.

Why not file a claim insurance claim under your comprehensive policy? Then you would only be out the deductible. Then take it to the dealer or perhaps the insurance company will have an agreement with Safelight or a local shop they use. I carry zero deductible for comp coverage. The additional premium is minimal.
