CLA45 Filler door actuator
Anyone have the process to replace this.....under warranty but dealer is refusing to honor replacement, apparently I need to keep randomly having to manually open the door with the emergency.

based on videos of other models, look like I need to use a plastic trim pry to pop off top and bottom of the filler lid assembly?

It no longer opens at all?
if you can get it to open, it's easy to remove. If it's stuck closed, yes you need to pry the door cover off and it will likely break the clips.
If it opens, remove the trunk lining on the left side and you can reach in there and remove the actuator. I'll try to find the WIS instructions. They don't account for a stuck closed lid though.
The recess removal doc covers unclipping the latch actuator, attached the file. Hope that helps.

It opens sometimes and with the emergency switch ....... it keeps failing off and on and I have to go through he trunk to open it....Mercedes refused to replace as it worked the day I brought it in...after weeks of off and on failures, opening by itself and then not opening.
