Special AMG-Certified Techs at MBUSA dealers?
Dave, and other esteemed MB Techs:
Are there AMG specialist Techs at Mercedes Benz dealers?
Are there some services for AMG vehicles that can only be performed by Techs that have passed some extra AMG training?
I am talking about service to engine, supercharger, transmission, emissions type stuff.
If so, how do I make sure my dealer has only those people working on my car?

Any technician can work on an AMG car, no special requirements are needed. The one car that only certain people are allowed to work on is the Maybach (which I am certified to service). I believe the SLR will have similiar restrictions.

The dealer I use has 'supposedly' of the best AMG mechanics on the West Coast.

'Certified' AMG Service @ MB Dealerships
So interesting...I remember some years ago in the Bay Area in California, some, but not all MB dealerships added 'Certified AMG' or something like that to their service department and special signage even went up. Can't seem to find any mention of it on google search.
