Should Mercedes auto brake in this scenario?

Hi, new to the forum and learned a lot from member postings. I have a 2014 E550 cabriolet with PRE SAFE, DISTRONIC and DRIVE ASSIST. Here is the scenario: I "stopped" in a parking space facing a wall. Somehow I did not shift to park, put on parking brake and turn off the engine (my usual steps after I park), then my foot was off the brake. The car slow rolled and kissed the wall, probably less than 5 mph. It didn't trigger airbag or damage the hood but it did crack some plastic parts and misaligned the DISTRONIC radar. Should this scenario trigger the auto brake feature? I did not remember hearing any beep or felt any slow down. I did see one Mercedes warning page saying the system cannot detect or brake for stationary objects. I know that was my mistake but it will be a nice feature if the system can detect this driver error and stop in this scenario.
