05 clk 500 bucking and hesitates under hard acceleration
But it will idle all day perfectly. Did run it low on gas before the problem started and the battery was a bit low on water. Come ups these be part of the problem?

Pull codes using a diagnostic scanner. Possibly the MAF sensor (if your car has that versus a MAP sensor). Symptoms you describe are virtually identical to the the failed MAF sensor on my W210. Before you just start throwing parts and money at the car, however, invest in a good diagnostic scanner and pull the codes.
