'0Is there a difference between '01 & 02' SLK230 engines?

I'm interested in gettin the kleemann ring-type pulley kit for the '02 c230k coupe for my '01 slk230 ... kleemann usa said that the engines are the same for the same model year which i intially thought meant i was good to go but then i realized there is no '01 c-coupe. if i were to guess i'd say the engines were the same and the MB rated difference between year of 2HP was do to some ecu tuning or something minor but wondering if someone else had some insight. TIA.

All 111 4 cyl. engines from summer 2000 are the same.
