2005 ML350
SOS No Longer Lit in ML350
I took delivery of my 2005 ML350 in May 2004. The SOS light illumintated red through the protective cover. After delivery I had the hands-free communicaton system and the DVD Navigation system installed. The light no longer illuminates. I took it back to the Mercedes dealer and was told that, because I now have these 2 systems installed, the light will no longer shine. All the systems seem to work . . . but the light no longer does. Is this a correct answer I am getting from the dealer?

I believe that if your Teleaid is activated the light will not stay on in the daytime. It will glow red at night with your lights on. If there is a fault with the Teleaid it will glow red during the day
