Question power steering pump 560 SL

My power steering pump makes a whining noise. I check the fluid and it seems to be at a proper level. After using the car for just a few minutes - drive into the garage - the fluid had turned to a "milky" appearance. What should I check for next?

Milky oil means water in it. Most likely from condensation over a period of time. I would have that flushed and replaced. Re the noise, could be related but could be a bad pump or damage from the water.
