Odd oil leak on a 72 220D
I have recently purchased my first Benz.
A 1972 220D non turbo.
It has developed an oil leak from the rear of the starter casing from what looks to be a weep hole.
There appears to be threads.
Should there be a bolt there ?

I'm sorry that I can't answer your question, but my first-ever MB was also a 1972 220D. I bought it in the early 80s with over 100,000 miles on it and I loved it. I wish MB still made cars like that.
