Do the plastic covers under the hood just pull off to replace the filters? Mine are stubborn and I don't want to break them. Could someone please advise?

There are 2 filters. You have to pull off the whole engine cover in 1 piece, flip it over and unfasten all the torx screws which will let you take apart the air cleaner and replace the filters.
