connection under front seats where occupancy mat is located

hi, i purchase this belt warning tone deactivation module for all mercedes and it is supposed to fit in the wiring harness either at the front, or rear of seat. problem is i can't seem to find this wiring harness on my 2004 mercedes cl600. it appears to be at the left side on the passenger seat, but it is recessed back far enough from the front of the seat that i can't get to it, but i can feel it with my fingers.. is there a way to pull that electrical harness out from the bottom of the seat, or do i have to remove the seat to get to it?
i have tried looking under the seat and have found the wires and harness, but can't get fingers far enough under the seat to disengage the harness. youtube shows many examples of this and all are able to pull harness without removing anything and just using their fingers. i can touch the wiring harness with my fingers, but can't reach far enough to unplug the harness. my mercedes mechanic says the seat has to be pulled to disconnect the wiring harness. any feedback is greatly appreciated.
thank you, harv
p.s. please see information below.
