![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I recently had a stereo/amps put in my CLK 430, the installer told me that the battery had gotten really low while they were testing and all the warning lights came on, he then charged the battery and they went off. A day later I am driving and they all come on again and have stayed on. They system is charging fine, I am not sure what the problem is. The stereo installer is claiming that the draw on the amps is causing the computer to read it as a malfunction, but I odubt that I am the only person who has put amps in a CLK and everyone who does drives around with these lights on. I did a search and read that it might be my battery not
working up to par. Should I replace the battery even if it seems to be working fine?
Thanks,
Rich

Most likely not the battery but that the installer most likely fried some electronic component while installing. This is how you become a test pilot when installing some none MB equipment and using a non MB installer.

Hello RickyG,
I have had similar error messages popping up.
The delaer determined that the battery was low and after charging it the messages didn't come back.
The dealer may have to clear some codes in the computer after charging the battery.
Similar Problem Fixed

Well took the car to the dealer and apparantly the stereo shop disconnected the speed sensor while installing the sub box/amps.
The dealer would not touch the car until the stereo shop removed
the box/amps, so I am making them remove/reinstall and pay for the repair. I also had a rattle in the door after they installed the door speakers, I have learned my lesson! Make sure you really trust your stereo shop!
