Car sitting since March 2020- need tips for starting
Hi:
Due to the pandemic, our 2013 ML350 has been sitting in a parking garage thousands of miles away. (Long story)
Has anyone been through something like this. We’ve been given mixed info on how to proceed. Benz said car might be able to be jumped and if not they could replace the battery in the garage without going to the dealership. Others repair shops have said the battery and the vin have to be synced. Any tips/assistance appreciated.

This place is a joke.
Put a new battery in it, you'll need a jump box to move the passenger seat forward to access the battery. The tires will need to be inflated to their maximum pressure to help out with flat spots. Don't be surprised if you need new tires, or brakes due to rust spots on the rotors causing vibration. There is no such thing as battery/VIN sync needed.

I thought the battery sync but was off as I didn’t have to do it prior.
Great tip on maxing out tire pressure to level out the flat spots.
I’ll send it to Benz or another dealer but I am trying to avoid the list of 1000 things that Benz sometimes thinks NEEDS to be done.
