2000 E55
Air to fuel ratio

My car is running way too lean is running 16.3 to 1 the performance of my vehicle is weak, i have a 2000 e55 how do i decrease it to 13 to 1 ratio or whatever is the right ratio, im getting good mpg 24mpg which is not bad, but i want the performance. help.......

16.3:1 is way to lean if this is at WOT (wide open throttle).It should be around 11.5:1 - 12.5:1 at WOT. This may explain why you got 24 mpg on an e55. I only got 20 mpg average on my Clk 430. E55 should get alot less if the air fuel ratio is within factory spec.

Performance of your vehicle is weak due to ECU retarded timing if your engine is running lean to prevent engine damages. Have the dealer check out to why your engine is running lean. Dealer can also use their DAS computer to change your fuel stage to make your engine run richer if need it.
