Builtcdi

I have a 2005 E320 CDI (W211). I was leaving a stop sign when something came thru and broke my valve cover right where the timing chain is. The car won’t start now. The chain seems right as I can touch it with my fingers. The oil seems to be fine with no metal in it. (I pulled the oil finger to check). I will try to upload a picture of what happened.
Anybody out there have this issue as well with an E320 CDI? (W211). Picture below. I am in the United States.
