2016 C300 2015 VW TDI Golf 2006 MINI S

Hello I was looking into buying this scanner and on their site they list one for Mercedes with adaptor. Am I correct to assume that the adaptor is for the older cars with 38 pin connectors and not needed on my 2019 GLC300?

Never mind, They got back to me the one with the adaptor is for older cars
