This is whats been happening to my w204 2013 C250. I lock the car at night and when I go the next day and try to unlock with the remote it wont do anything. If I get out the metal key and open it with that, the alarm will start to beep. And after that the remote works perfectly, to lock and unlock. I changed Key battery , star don't show anything , and also car wake ups when i push trunk lid's handle like if was going to open the trunk
Any ideas?
So far so good: "Star" not reporting means you're dealing with a soft-crash glitch.
CAN-B modules are unable to cooperate and unable to self-diagnose a fault.
> Do a "battery REBOOT":
Let the car enter low power mode
Disconnect batteries 15mn
This will restore proper F-SAM processing!
Can this box be problem? Near the battery? I ask because capsule in this box was bad and i sticked it.
Or problem can be can bus plugs? Hatch was stuck and water went to can bus under the drivers feet and i replaced can buses but plugs is old can this be problem?
PREFUSE:
the pics is a prefuse extension of the F-SAM.
It has all the oversized circuit fuses and the main relay.
It can go bad with poor contacts drop-voltage but then there would be other symptoms than KeylessG.
FOOTWELL SWAMP:
Any chance some water found it's way inside the SAM enclosure guided into the wide opening by the wiring loom??
Footwell water may have oxidized the couple painted ground posts besides the CAN- bus splices
luckily there's no module on driver footwell unlike passenger side... check condition.
CLUES:
You either going to TEAR DOWN this car or use STAR to get a lead into this problem!
It is bizarre STAR offers no clue for a major event. Use the history to collect clues...

The CAN-B bus is a most populated bus with many favorite disruptors that can bottleneck traffic.
BEWARE:
Busy CAN-B may lead to sleepless car and flat battery that lead to further disruptions.
