check engine light on, what next?
hi guys
i need your help with my 96 c280.
i have searched this forum and have read a lot of things pertaining to the cel coming on. but i want to be sure, so i am posting my own problem.
i replaced the MAF and the OVP about a month or so ago, and it was running okay.
yesterday i was driving when it suddenly seem to be hestitating, and a very slow pickup. the engine sounded a bit harsh and unhealthy too. then the check engine light came on.
what could be the next likely problem now?
also, i need some advice on what brand of obd scanner should i get. i think i will be needing a scanner pretty much with this benz.
thanks in advance.

hi guys
got my car back last night, and my mechanic told me that the car had a cylinder misfire, and he changed all the plugs and the ignition coil(s). how many are the coils anyway?
car's running great once again.
thanks for your inputs and have a good weekend.

Hi guys,
I asked my mechanic about what was actually replaced. He said he replaced one coil and wires. He inspected the plugs, and told me that these are fairly new, so no need to replace them.
The car's running very well once again.
