2001 clk320
Angry Idle problem!!!

I got a clk320 w/ 24,000 miles on it that I just bought, the issue that I'm having is that while driving around town doing like 40-50 mph and then stopping rather quickly, at the point the car is fully stopped the engine start shaking for a few seconds then its back to normal. I took it to the dealer last week and after running a diagnostic they replaced the MAF, the mechanic actually came out and was showing me the numbers, I thought it was down, this morning the same thing happened again. Anybody have any ideas or experienced the same thing? Thanks all in advance

My guess....

Fuel pump...'00 and '01 engines of your type had fuel pump failures with symptoms like yours.

Makes me wonder if it needs the ME control unit update... Misfires with no fault codes, general "runs like crap" complaints, and hesitations can often be cured this way.
