Facing the motor it should be just left and behind the intercooler right?
Short of pulling the intake ductwork is there any other disassembly needed?

You can remove belly pan to access pump solenoid connector from below.

That access is more straight forward than top side with charge pipes.

Read around provided links... it's been done already ✌️

From the bottom is really the way to go, if I wasn't stubborn with going from the top, I would had saved 3 weeks
It was so easy once you drop the belly pan, you see it right away and then it takes like 20 seconds or even less.

ALT-LIN was even harder to access with all the charge pipes in the way and no easy cover to pop

Thanks guys.
I figured it would be a heck of a lot easier from underneath. I don't have a lift hence me trying the hard way. I could snake my arm in there and get the little sucker in my grasp, but there was no way for me to release the clip one handed without line of site on it. Anyone who can must have phenomenal dexterity.

Thanks for all your help and quick replies.

It's always a lot of fun to figure things out.

These ECU can really deliver strong driveability when given a chance. It thrives on timings predictability.

Stock setup is like a blank slate ready to be dialed-in.

The restriction from MB Germany really limits the full potential of the vehicle.
