MBTech: Accessing instrument cluster on 240

Any clues on how to access the instrument cluster on a W203? I've got a speedo that reads in kilometres and short of replacing the whole unit to read miles, I was thinking of sticking some numbers on the gauge. Is the clear window easily removable on the instrument cluster or is it an entire unit? I see two holes, on on each side of the dash cluster. Are these the release latches?

thanks!

Yes, behind those two holes are the release latches. You'll need the MB special tool, instrument cluster hooks, to release the latches. Insert them and turn 90 degrees till they point towards each other and pull. Hope that helps.
